Eva Holmes, CG®, AG®

I am a Certified Genealogist® and Accredited Genealogist® from Portland, Maine. My research specialties include Maine, New England, and New Brunswick (especially Loyalists).

I also use DNA to solve genealogical problems and am pursuing both Canadian and Italian citizenship through descent.

I am the executive editor of Crossroads, the quarterly publication of UGA and author of the Research in the States Guide to Maine. I serve as the Director of the Mayflower Families Silver Books Project and am writing the George Soule Silver Book documenting five generations and naming the sixth.

I serve as the Program Administrator of the GenProof Study Groups and am a former trustee of the BCG Education Fund. I was awarded the National Genealogical Society Award of Merit in 2026.
